Poole debuts with The Ferry EP; a future-shock of deviant UK rave experimentation that is informed by industrial traditions with an insatiable appetite for the unknown.
Having spent over a decade in the noise and electronic improv scene of his adopted Glasgow, collaborating with members of Scottish groups Free Love, Golden Teacher, LAPS and Yong Yong now results in Poole. A notable departure from yonder, he finds a renewed appetite for experimentation through a combination of environmental and generative music techniques to forge tracks of textural expansions in an experimental rhythmic complexion, exploring the outer recesses of the hardcore continuum with a ferocious bite.
Horses shrink wraps a demented happy hardcore shell around trudging rave pistons that gallops along a jersey club bounce while writhing in rave deviancy. Fully Fledged Angel jukes along in a mangled swoon of hyperpop’d romance, buoyant by heavy trap snares and wild FM synthesis. The Ferry anchors a menacing dub stepper to an industrialised stomp fit with remarkable sound design. Hole Reduxe sees us out, an abstract wreath of distorted doom-bap and throbbing bass nodes that conclude this wild journey from Poole on this impressive alias debut.
